Introduction:
Sometimes, the simplest ingredients give the most stunning results. After trying countless store-bought creams and serums, I finally decided to return to basics—and my skin has never been better. Within just five days, a DIY blend of Vaseline and Aloe Vera brought a radiant glow, deeply moisturized my dry patches, and calmed redness. This soothing combo isn’t just affordable—it’s incredibly effective. Want glowing, hydrated skin with zero harsh chemicals? Here's how you can make and use this natural skincare gem at home.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of pure Aloe Vera gel (freshly scooped from the plant or store-bought, no added color/fragrance)
1 teaspoon of Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) – original, unscented
Optional: 2-3 drops of Vitamin E oil (for extra nourishment)
Optional: 1 drop of lavender or tea tree essential oil (for added skin benefits and scent)
Instructions:
Prepare the Aloe Vera:
If using fresh aloe, slice open a leaf, scoop out the clear gel, and blend it until smooth.
Mix with Vaseline:
In a clean bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of aloe gel with 1 teaspoon of Vaseline.
Add Boosters (Optional):
Add your Vitamin E oil and essential oil of choice. Mix until fully blended into a smooth, creamy texture.
Application:
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and pat dry.
Apply a thin layer of the mixture to your face (or problem areas) before bedtime.
Let it sit overnight.
In the morning, rinse off with lukewarm water and follow with your usual skincare routine.
Serving and Storage Tips:
Store the mixture in a small, airtight container—preferably glass or BPA-free plastic.
Keep it in the refrigerator if you used fresh aloe vera (lasts up to 5–7 days).
If using store-bought aloe gel, it can stay fresh for up to 2 weeks at room temperature.
Always use clean fingers or a spatula to scoop out product to avoid contamination.
